Ready Sett Weave - Workshop
A one day weaving taster workshop
Join us at Weavers Works for a one-day weaving ‘tasting menu’ on our 8-shaft table looms. Move from loom to loom and sample five technical weaving setups with a range of structures to try. No setup or planning is needed, every loom is dressed and ready for you with guidance throughout the day.
Your five courses:
Twills & Crepes - explore a range of basic to fancy twills and crepes on a varied gamp
Colour & Weave - play the effects of colour combinations in the warp and weft
Huck Weaves - create lacey weaves and textures with warp and weft floats
Deflected Double Weave - discover the magic of layered interlocking structures
Waffles - Experience three-dimensional weaving in awe
Bring home a ‘takeaway’ of five woven samples, one from each course. Perfect for absolute beginners hungry to try weaving, and experienced weavers who just want to play with colour, texture, and pattern without the prep.

Time: 10am to 4.30pm
An hour-long lunch break is included, with tea and coffee provided. There are plenty of cafés nearby, or you’re welcome to bring your own lunch.
